'My clients want something that is truly Innovative and Unique.  A piece of art that is not a representation of something else or looks like someone else's work.  Work that is skillfully crafted and inspiring and made to their requirements.'

About Me

I am professionally qualified and experienced as a glass artist and a blacksmith. I gained a 2:1 BA (hons) in Architectural Glass at Swansea Metropolitan University in 2003 and certificates in Blacksmithing and metalworking from Hereford Rural Craft Centre in 2005. I have spent time working with other established artists e.g. Martin Donlin and Alex Belinskencko, before setting up my own studio in 2006.

I am passionate about my work and thrive on pushing my own technical and design boundaries, which results in completely unique work.

I have recently moved my studio to a new light, spacious and easily accessible location. Unit 1, Markham Farm Craft Centre, Easton-in-Gordano, Bristol, BS20 0QQ. The studio is situated only 1/2 mile from junction 19 of the M5 on the A369, within 3 miles of Portishead and 8 to Bristol. Why not visit me to see further examples of my work but please contact me first!

I offer both private commissioned work and also a range of sculptures which are designed and made for public exhibitions. My work can be seen at galleries and exhibitions throughout the country – feel free to contact me for current information.

The commission process

I design in a site-specific way using the existing environment as a spring-board for my initial design concepts e.g. taking into account direction of the sun, existing features and how the space is going to be used. It is important to me that my work is unique and that each commissioned piece is a reflection of my clients wishes.

It is paramount to me that I ensure that the client is involved at all stages of the process. We will discuss budget, ideas, themes, size and timescales.

Design

I charge a fee of £75 when I am asked to provide a design. Where possible I will make a site visit or work from photos provided by the client. I will then present an initial design concept to be considered and discussed. At this stage we can again discuss colours of glass and fine tune the design.

Decide

Before going ahead in making a piece of work I make sure the client is happy with the design and timescales have been agreed. At this stage I will ask for 50% of the price of the finished sculpture or interior work.

Delivery

As the client is involved at every stage of the commission process the finished piece will be an innovative, unique and inspiring work of art that I am happy to install.
